Since 1997, The Cakery has been producing its high quality product on the popular Burlingame Avenue. Partners Hilmar Maier and Robert McMonigle felt that Burlingame was the perfect location to continue their centuries old trade while keeping their product current and exciting.
What makes The Cakery unique is that every item is crafted in the traditional methods that were common to the trade before the modernization of factories and big box outlets. They whip their eggs and cream their butter and sugar following recipes that are timeless and unforgettable. They offer a full line of cakes, cookies and pastries all made with the finest ingredients available.
While tradition is important at The Cakery, so are the current needs and trends of the ever changing customer. New menu items such as an entire line of gourmet cupcakes grace the showcase on a daily basis for those with dietary needs, Gluten free products, sugar free cakes, low sugar Stevia cookies, are also available.
